IN MEMORY

Dato Haji Sardon bin Haji Jubir, Minister for Transport in the Government of Malaya [Malaysia] and the Datin Sadiah Sardon paid a flying visit to Australia. The Minister and his wife were passengers on the Air India International inaugural flight to Australia via Perth, Western Australia on 6 November 1962 and their crowded schedule included day trips by air to Victoria and Canberra, thenational capital, plus a two day stop over in Perth on the return journey - The Datin Sadiah Sardon chats with ladies in Sydney (from left) Che Harun (hostess), Datin Sadiah Sardon, Mrs F Daniell and Mrs M Caskey.
